You could say I’ve been knee-deep in cardboard and chaos for over a decade.

I’m Facundo, co-founder of NorthBox, and my journey in the moving industry started more than 10 years ago—alongside my good mate Joaquín Trapero. Back then, we were just two guys hauling painfully obvious: cardboard boxes kinda suck. They bend. They break. And they end up in landfill.

So while Joaquín steered the trucks, I focused on what I’ve always loved (and secretly geeked out on): how to pack a house properly. Over the years, I’ve packed thousands of homes—from tiny studios in Carlton to five-bedroom homes in Brighton. I’ve wrapped, stacked, sealed, and labelled just about every household item you can imagine.

  • Plates?
  • Glasses?
  • That weird lamp your aunty gave you?

Every job taught me something new about packing efficiently, protecting valuables, and making moving day a whole lot easier (and less stressful). And every time I saw a soggy cardboard box fall apart mid-move, I thought: there’s got to be a better way.

Enter NorthBox—our answer to Melbourne’s packing problems.

Strong plastic moving crates that don’t collapse under pressure, delivered to your door and picked up when you're done. No tape. No stress. No waste.

Today, I write most of the packing guides you’ll find on this site—tips on how to pack books, kitchenware, clothes, bedding, and more. Every blog is based on real experience, not theory. If it’s on here, I’ve done it—probably dozens of times.

So if you're after advice on how to pack your home like a pro, you're in the right place.

Let’s make moving simpler, smarter, and a whole lot greener.
